I spent the weekend in Hamilton with old roomies and long time friends, Stephy and Gabeyo. After living alone for 4 days (since Har was out of town), it was nice to have some late night company! These two were incredible hosts: they fed me delicious food, they entertained me with games and movies, and they gave me parting gifts/goody bags at the end of my stay. Let's just say it was the ultimate sleep over, making me nostalgic for the good ol' Western days (ie. Friday-night-movie-nights).

We had make-your-own (MYO) nachos as a movie-watching snack! It made me feel very special that they would go through all this effort to ensure that I had a pleasant movie-viewing experience.

MYO nachos follows a strict protocol: Each receives his/her own aluminum foil plate, lays down a single layer of nachos (double layer is permitted but advised against for risk of un-topped surface area), and then proceeds to pile with preferred toppings. Toppings included ground beef, olives (sliced by gabeyo), onions, cheese and salsa. When the end of the assembly line is reached, the plate is popped into the oven for 4-5 minutes then Enjoy!

For breakfast, Stephy made us chocolate chip pancakes (with real maple syrup) and sliced mango - check out how happy this plate looks!
wow i someday aspire to be as gracious at my hosting
